Participate in one of our 4 service activities below, donate to our Dignity Drive, or complete your own service project. However you participate, this is perfect for businesses/staff, students needing volunteer hours, or anyone looking to help make their community a better place to work and live! May 15, 3-5pm

PI Housing Authority Community Garden

The Community Garden allows all community members to grow food. Help prepare the garden beds for planting and weed the perennial flower beds nearby as well. Bring your own gardening materials. Looking for 3-5 volunteers

May 16, 3-5pm

Mapleton Rec Center: Paint and Refresh

The dugouts at the Little League field are in need of some paint, as does the pool office. Bring clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Looking for 3-5 volunteers.

May 17, all day

Random Act of Kindness

Pay it forward or extend an act of kindness to someone in your community. It could be as easy as supplying food to someone in need, purchasing a coffee for a stranger, visiting an older adult, reading to a child, sending a congratulatory card, or calling a friend you haven’t spoken to in a long time.

May 18, 3-5pm

PI Bike Path Clean Up

This project includes picking up litter, raking, tree trimming, mulching, garden bed weeding, and painting along the Presque Isle Bike Path between State Street and Allen Street. Materials will be provided, but come in closed toed shoes and clothing you don’t mind getting a little dirty! Looking for 5-10 volunteers.

Time For A Little Self Care

After spending week serving your community, take a little time to do something for yourself! Treat yourself to your favorite meal, upsize that coffee, splurge on a gift for yourself, or set aside some time for your favorite show, book, or activity. You deserve it!

Aroostook River Fun Run

Help us wrap up this week with a finale event! Bike, paddle, walk, or run in our 14th annual Aroostook River Fun Run event, benefiting Aroostook House of Comfort and the Aroostook Veterans Alliance. Learn more here!

Not able to volunteer, but still want to participate?

Help us by contributing to our, Dignity Drive: May 15-19 We are collecting hygiene and household items for the Presque Isle Housing Authority residents. Drop off your items to Star City IGA any time during this week, or deliver your items to the Northeastland Hotel between 12 and 1pm on May 15. Any of the following full-size items would be very helpful to assist their most in need families, however we will also accept cash donations or gift cards to be used to purchase items:

Toothpaste, Toothbrushes Floss, Mouthwash, Deodorant, Shaving Cream, Disposable Razors, Feminine Hygiene: Pads and Tampons

Tissues, Toilet Paper, Household Cleaner (screw-cap preferred), Shampoo, Body wash/Bar Soap, Disinfecting Wipes, Hand Soap, Hand Sanitizer

Laundry Detergent, Dish Detergent, Dishwasher Detergent (pods preferred), Band-Aids, Sunscreen, Paper Towels
