THE ROTARY FOUNDATION
“The Rotary Foundation helps Rotary members to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace by improving health, providing quality education, improving the environment, and alleviating poverty.”
The Rotary Foundation was founded in 1917 and since that time has more than $4 billion dollars in grants for global, life changing projects. The foundation’s seven areas of focus include:
Promoting Peace
Fighting Disease
Providing Clean Water, Sanitation & Hygiene
Saving Mothers & Children
Supporting Education
Growing Local Economies
Protecting Our Environment
Donations made to the Rotary Foundation help further support these areas of focus along with the Global Polio Eradication Initiative. Click here to learn how you can support the Rotary Foundation.
How to Support the Rotary Foundation
EVERY Rotarian, EVERY Year
We strive to reach a 100% participation in giving to the Rotary Foundation. The Every Rotarian, Every Year program is a designation for clubs that includes every Rotarian donating a minimum of $25 to the Foundation Fund.
Sustaining Membership
A “sustaining member” is a Rotarian that contributes $100 or more annually to the Rotary Foundation. Once a Rotarian has contributed $1,000 to the foundation, they are recognized with a Paul Harris Fellowship. Each year we recognize those Rotarians at our annual Paul Harris Recognition Evening.
