The Aroostook River Fun run has seen it’s share of change over the last 15 years and has expanded from a singular river race to an event that truly has something for everyone. One thing that hasn’t changed is the commitment our Rotary Clubs have to hosting a memorable event and showcasing the beauty of Aroostook County in May. Whether our participants choose the original kayak/canoe route or opt to take in the sights on bike or foot, everyone comes together at the end of the race to celebrate!
This year, we are focusing on our participant experience and are working to ensure our event is affordable to community members of all ages as well as families. We are implementing a sponsorship approach for the first time in order to decrease our registration costs. Your sponsorship allows our volunteer committee to host this summer kickoff event at minimal cost for participants. Proceeds from the Aroostook River Fun Run stay local and will allow the Caribou, Presque Isle, and Washburn Rotary Clubs to continue their local service efforts and programming.
