The Presque Isle Rotary Club Scholarship fund was created March 24, 1993 and has paid out more than $60,000 to high school seniors over the last 10 years. The Scholarship Fund was created in order to: foster and promote post high school education; promote vocational training and education; promote, assist, and financially endow position(s) of higher education; promote and foster education through “non-traditional” methods; promote community service through education; provide scholarships to universities, schools, colleges or vocational institutions; and promote and foster educational activities of all kinds, all without regard to race color, creed, or gender whatsoever.
These scholarships are available to local students attending local colleges or any college in-state or out-of-state.  For PIHS Scholarships, the review of scholarship applications includes: financial need, academics, and volunteerism to include a short essay connected to Rotary’s motto of “Service Above Self”.
Scholarship Recipients – Annual Scholarship Commitment of $6,400   
PIHS Female Student:  $500/year for 4 years     (commitment totals $2,000)
PIHS Male Student: $500/year for 4 years   (commitment totals $2,000)
NMCC Student Award: $500
Easton HS Graduate:  $500                             
Hedrich Scholarship at NMCC:  $400    
UMPI New Student Award:  $500          
PIHS Adult Education Recipient:  $500
